Dr Pallavi Singh is an ophthalmic surgeon with specialization in orbital and oculofacial plastic surgery (oculoplastics), eye cancers (ocular oncology), and squint (strabismus). She has over 8 years of experience in the field. She completed her residency in ophthalmology where she mastered the art of microsurgery which fueled her passion for combining complex and fine surgical skills. She is an expert in conditions such as eyelid disorders, tear duct (lacrimal) surgery, orbital tumors, trauma, cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries around eye and face, injectables (botox & fillers), thyroid eye disease, eye cancers and squint (crossed eyes). She has performed more than a thousand of such complex and fine surgeries.
After completing her MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, Dr Singh pursued an MD in ophthalmology from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and trained there further as a senior resident in the subspecialties of oculoplastics, squint and ocular oncology. Subsequently, she was chosen as the global fellow at the Stein Eye Institute at University of California, Los Angeles where she did a 16-month surgical fellowship in orbital and oculofacial plastic surgery under the mentorship of Dr Robert A. Goldberg. During this time, she also trained with top plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills.
She has more than 30 publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals, and multiple book chapters to her credit. She is a reviewer for prestigious journals such as ‘Orbit’, ‘Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery’, ‘Indian Journal of Ophthalmology’, ’Clinical and Experimental Optometry’ and ‘Medical Journal of Armed Forces of India’. She has spoken at multiple national and international academic meetings as an invited speaker and to present her research work . Dr Singh is also an awardee of multiple research awards and travel grants. She was honored with the Best Senior Resident award during her tenure at AIIMS, New Delhi.
